This La Sierra University Library yearbook collection includes yearbooks from 1924 to present. El Serrano (The Mountaineer) was the name given to the first five yearbooks (1924-1928). With the 1930's and the onset of the Great Depression, administration suspended yearbook publication as a cost-saving measure. A few creative students however, decided to redesign the yearbook to appear as the final "Commencement Edition of the The College Criterion, the school newspaper (1929-1931). In 1939, the student body voted to print the Meteor, a name that lasted through 1972. The current title, Visions, was first published in 1978. This yearbook was dedicated to Dr. Fritz Guy, La Sierra University's first president.
